CONTEMPORANEO ART MUSIC was born in 1983 associated to the beginning of the mythical Recording Studio "CONTEMPORANEO" in the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Many distinguished musicians of the local scene converged in a special environment of artistic inspiration and creativity and forged the first recordings that are part today of the current catalogue of CONTEMPORANEO ART MUSIC.
After a long experience in the independent discographic production market, CONTEMPORANEO ART MUSIC took new impulse as company at the end of the year 2004. Today it has consolidated itself as an unique Argentinian Record Label dedicated to innovative musical expressions of Argentina and South America, including on its catalogue genres asContemporary Tango, Jazz, Fusion, Bossa Nova, New Argentinian Folk and Contemporary Classical Expressions.
Under the expert Artistic Direction of the talented Argentinian Producer, Composer and Multinstrumentalist Pedro Menendez all productions included on the catalague are characterized by an artistic high-quality criteria that prioritizes originality and consolidation of the cultural expressions of our country.
As Record Label Contemporaneo Art Music has been invited to participate on diverse initiatives of the General Direction of Creative Industries and Foreign Trade from Buenos Aires City Government, including BAFIM (BUENOS AIRES INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FAIR), INTERNATIONAL BUENOS AIRES JAZZ & OTHER MUSICS FESTIVAL, Promotional Sampler and Interactive Catalogue of Argentinian Music for main worldwide industry events like WOMEX, MIDEM, etc.
During the last years it has greatly increased its participation in the worldwide market through Physical and Digital Sales, Licencing and Distribution Deals in Argentina, Brazil, USA, Canada, France, Japan, India & Middle East and has been invited to participate through Live Performances and Management Deals at International Music Fairs & Festivals from USA, Canada, Brazil & India (SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST 2010-2009-2008, CANADIAN MUSIC WEEK 2009, FESTIVAL SESC RIO DE JANEIRO 2008, among many others.
